Davao Mission Celebrates 76th World Pathfinder Day

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Davao Mission celebrated the 76th anniversary of World Pathfinder Day on Sept. 19, 2026, at the Life Hope Center in Bangkal, Davao City, under the theme “Speak, Lord.” The event brought together Pathfinders, Master Guides and pastors from across the Davao Mission territory.
The celebration highlighted the purpose of Pathfinder Ministry: helping young people know God, develop a life of service and grow in faith.
The program began with Sabbath worship attended by young people from various areas of the Davao Mission. Plenary sessions were led by Pastor Ernie Hemoroz and Master Guide Kierven John Asorna. Pastor David Bornales also delivered a message for the youth, encouraging them to remain committed to serving through the Pathfinder Ministry.
The speakers emphasized the role of Pathfinder Ministry in shaping character, strengthening faith and preparing young people for service to God and their communities.
In the afternoon, Pathfinders from different clusters showcased their talents through speech choir, drama and other activities, reflecting the lessons and values they have learned through the Pathfinder program.
The 76th World Pathfinder Day celebration emphasized that Pathfinder Ministry extends beyond activities and programs. It seeks to guide young people to Christ, develop their character and prepare them for a life of service.
