New District Pastors Installed in Malalag and Magsaysay Districts

DAVAO DEL SUR — A new chapter of pastoral leadership began in Malalag and Magsaysay districts on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, as Davao Mission installed two new district pastors during Sabbath service.

Pr. Lloyd Jasper Datulayta was officially installed as the new district pastor of Malalag District during the Sabbath School program, while Pr. Jasper Delgado was installed as the new district pastor of Magsaysay District during the hour of worship.

The installation ceremonies were officiated by Pr. Jaffet Legario, communication director of Davao Mission, together with church leaders and members who gathered to witness and support the new pastoral assignments.

The occasion served as a time of prayer, commitment and dedication as the two pastors accepted the responsibility of leading and serving the churches entrusted to their care. Church members also expressed their support and commitment to work alongside their new district pastors in strengthening ministry and advancing the mission of the church.

As Pr. Datulayta and Pr. Delgado begin their respective ministries, prayers were offered for God's wisdom, guidance and strength as they serve the members and communities of the Malalag and Magsaysay districts.

Davao Mission continues to pray for both pastors as they carry forward the mission of sharing Christ's hope and serving the growing needs of their respective districts.
